Because of the long winter vegetation started late in 2013, although this year we did not face freeze demages.In June the weather was anything but ideal. First we faced a heat weave followed by a cool, wet Periode. This caused poor pollination and coulure, ultimately reducing yield.In 2013 we had a lot of hail-storms, especially in southern Burgenland. In September we had a lot of rain, threatening the grapes to burst. We had to make a difficult decision, early harvest or taking the risk and wait. Careful work in the vinyard paid off and waiting helped us to produce excellent grape material, the foundation for excellent wines. Based on the first young wines, Hans Wukits is certain that the 2013 wines will be of very high Quality. Fruity and crisp these wines will provide us with pleasure for several years to come.
